Get ready to shop at The Shopping Night Barcelona

Barcelona launches its Christmas season on 22 November as the city’s Christmas lights are switched on and this year’s late-shopping event The Shopping Night takes place.

Now celebrating its ninth edition, The Shopping Night sees many of the shops on and around Passeig de Gràcia open until midnight, offering customers the chance to browse the stores late into the night and in the magical ambience provided by the festive lights. Participating shops this year include Camper, FC Barcelona, IKKS, H&M, & Other Stories, Nike, Mango, Desigual and Lacoste.

Restaurants and hotels also open late, offering the chance to take a break from the shopping with a meal or drink.

The Shopping Night has organised its own gastronomic tour (Ruta de Platillos) that sees many of the cafés, restaurants and hotels in the area offering a specially created small dish to enjoy; venues include the historic Hotel Majestic, this year celebrating its centenary, the Café de la Pedrera, set inside Gaudí’s emblematic building, and La Vinoteca Torres, which is the famous winemaker’s Barcelona base.

What’s more, a lineup of musicians and DJs will provide entertainment throughout the evening all along Passeig de Gràcia to create a memorable event to get Christmas in Barcelona underway once more.

When: 22 November, 7pm-midnight

Where: Passeig de Gràcia and adjoining streets
