Kool & the Gang play Barcelona on 19 November as part of this year’s Festival Mil·lenni, the city’s extensive, eclectic music festival, which this year is marking its 20th anniversary.
Formed back in 1964 by brothers Robert (known as ‘Kool’) and Ronald Bell, Kool & the Gang are much-loved by fans around the world for their music, which features a variety of styles including soul, funk, rock and pop.

While the two brothers have remained part of the group since the beginning, numerous members of The Gang have come and gone, but the changes have never dented their continuing popularity.
During their 55-year career, Kool & the Gang have been awarded numerous awards including two Grammys, and sold millions of albums.
Their performance at Barcelona’s Liceu Opera House promises to include hits such as ‘Celebrate!’, ‘Joanna’, ‘Jungle Boogie’ and many more.
The Festival Mil·lenni runs until 17 May 2019 and upcoming artists on the bill include UB40, Josep Carreras, Jorge Drexler and Deacon Blue.
