Bilbao hosts the 2018 edition of the MTV Europe Awards on 4 November at the Bizkaia Arena (Bilbao Exhibition Centre).
Presented by US actress and singer Hailee Steinfeld, this year’s ceremony features a wide range of categories including Best Song, Best Video and Best Artist, as well as regional nominations covering Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia & New Zealand, and America.
Among the musicians up for awards are Camila Cabello (who has the most nominations with six), Ariana Grande, Childish Gambino, U2, Ed Sheeran and David Guetta.
Leading up to the big night, the MTV Music Week takes place with events across the region. The main concert, part of the MTV World Stage series, is scheduled for 3 November in the San Mamés Stadium (home to the Athletic Bilbao football team) and includes headliners Muse and Crystal Fighters.
This is the third time that these awards have been held in Spain.
