Big names on the catwalk for 080 Barcelona Fashion

080 Barcelona Fashion has returned bringing 28 designers and brands flaunting their wares at the iconic modernist building, the old Hospital de Sant Pau. For the first time ever, though, the event kicked off down at the beach, with models strutting their stuff by the sea.

Big names

080 Barcelona is not just about clothes, though. It is also about the models wearing them, and in this edition of the fashion show some top level international names can be expected. Some of the highlights include Nuria Rothschild, Afrodita Dorado, Garret Neff, and Rhys Pickering.

Special guest

The fashion legend and former editor of Vogue USA, André Leon Talley, will also be present. With decades of experience working at the front line of international fashion, Talley will be 080 Barcelona’s special guest of honour.

Talley’s career began in New York City in 1974, working at Andy Warhol’s Factory and also the artist’s magazine Interview.

On the penultimate day of 080 Barcelona, he will present a documentary about his life entitled ‘The Gospel According to André’. The event runs until Friday.

The usual suspects

The show hails the return of some familiar names to the catwalk, such as designer Manuel Bolaño and clothes company TCN.

As is the norm in the summer edition of 080 Barcelona, swimwear is the protagonist. Some of the big names to watch out for at beaches this year include Red Point, Guillermina Baeza and Como un Pez en el agua (Like a fish in the water,) all showing off their latest designs over the coming days.
